So, here it is October 1st and I didn’t come close to meeting the mark for NaBloPoMo. Full on, fail! I offer no excuses(at least any that would matter), but it did spark a little something in me at least. I just have to grab hold of that and ride it out. The brain dump that was planned met with an unstoppable force. Sadly, it’s been the same force that’s been stopping a lot of things with me lately. While I figure that out, I can at least work on and bring out the ones that are remotely done. Why am I telling you all this? I don’t know. But I am, so deal with it. 🙂
In my quest to get back into things and shake the dust off the blog, I needed a way to stir the creative juices (aka focus my lazy bottom). It just so happens that this is National Blog Posting Month (NaBloPoMo). Similar to NaNoWriMo (which I still plan to do), you make a post on your blog every day in the month. Sounds simple, right? At the time of this post it’s 13 days in. I thought about and kind of started doing it around 8 days in. For those keeping score, I’m a little behind. What’s funny, there’s enough in my head to catch up and then some. The problem is, the brain faucet’s stuck between drip and deluge with deluge being a Niagara Falls type non-coherent white noise of which I could not write to if I tried. Don’t cry for me ardently, Tina. I’m just saying that 1) if you see a few dozen posts in the next couple of days, you’ll know why. 2) I’m really not really apologizing for the content of said posts, and 3) you know I had to let you about the month even if we are almost half way in. It’s what I do.
I just came across this post through someone on Twitter.
If you are still interested in doing NaNoWriMo, check it out. It doesn’t look like I will be able to but I might play the “home version” & see if I could write everyday. Probably won’t be the 1,667 words a day needed, though.
In other news, I just found out there is a NaNoWriMo for Blogging: NaBloPoMo. Sounds kinda suggestive. 🙂
I should not be surprised by this, yet I was. Go figure. 🙂
